Letting Go
This morning I decided it was finally time to cut the umbilical cord and stop listening to Seattle NPR. I think it was kind of the last thing I was holding on to; it felt really comforting to have continuity in my life.
But enough is enough. I've been here two months now, and listening to Seattle traffic reports isn't benefitting my life.

I know what you mean! I moved here from Seattle about eight years ago and it was hard to let go, even though I fell in love with Portland right away. I don't follow Seattle news much anymore, but find that I haven't gotten into local politics and events here nearly as much as I was into it in Seattle. I think that's finally starting to change, though. Welcome to Portland!
